  2.   It's now the time of the year, where Muslims start to fast from sunrise till sunset. Here in Malaysia, Ramadhan has been the month that all of us Malaysian, regardless of race nor religion gets excited for because, there will be tons of food choices at everyone's local Bazaar Ramadhan. Due to abundant of food choices, we tend to go against the concept of Ramadhan and resulting to unhealthy eating habit.

      Many of us are not aware that Ramadhan is the chance for us to lose weight, simultaneously reducing our sugar intake to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Below are reasons why we should benefit the golden opportunity;

    • Ramadhan is the time where you can train yourself to be more consistent in your diet proram

    • Meal's time on fasting month are fixed & adjusted which help in your loosing weight

    • The lesser time you are allowed to eat, the less calorie intake you'll consume for the day

    • During fasting, your body burns fat and calorie to provide energy

    Extra sweet tooth on Ramadhan?

    Try this!

    1. Opt for low sugar or sugar replacement
      Most of your favorite sugary foods and drinks have a reduced-sugar or sugar-free counterpart that tastes just as sweet as the original. In many cases, the lower-sugar alternatives like stevia are also lower in calories

    2. Dilute fruit juice with water or club soda
      When choosing a fruit juice, stick with 100 percent fruit juices since many juice drinks are more sugar-water than fruit juice. Even better, dilute your fruit juices with water or jazz it up with club soda! –- same sweet taste for less sugar and fewer calories

    3. Swap out sugar for sugar alternatives
      When baking or cooking, substitute sugar alternatives like stevia for the sugar called for in recipes. Not ready to take the total sugarless leap? Substitute half of the sugar in recipes with the equivalent of a sugar alternative.

      Go for fruit
      The most nutritious way to reduce your sugar intake is to grab a piece of fresh fruit when your sweet tooth beckons. You can also serve yourself smaller portions of baked goods or desserts and sweeten them up with fresh fruit or pureed fruit.
