You think you know your favourite celebs?They might look healthy and picture perfect.Shockingly quite a number of them were diagnosed with Diabetes.Check this out.
Halle BerryOur favourite cat woman, Halle Berry was diagnosed with diabetes at age 22, after she became ill and slipped into a weeklong coma. Forget the gossip that Berry had "weaned" herself from insulin and switched from type 1 to type 2 diabetes... that's impossible. She said that she keeps the disease under control through a healthy diet and regular exercise.

American Idols judge, Randy Jackson diagnosed with diabetes type 2 on 2002 when he taught he was minor cold or some sort of "flu". A wake up call for him indeed, he lost 100 pounds, improved his diet, and made exercise, including walking on a treadmill and practicing yoga as a staple of his life.

Once called juvenile diabetes, type 1 diabetes is the most common type of diabetes among people younger than 20, but it can strike at any age.
People often think that type 2 diabetes strikes only the overweight and sedentary, or unhealthy eaters. Truth is, anyone can be diagnosed with diabetes, even world-class athletes, or the rich and famous. The above celebrities all had some risk factors for diabetes (such as weight, ethnicity, or family history), but many were still shocked to hear the diagnosis. They’ve all made healthy changes in their lives, and many now speak out about the dangers of type 2 diabetes. YOU SHOULD TOO.

Many people thought that diabetes is only caused by eating sweet foods. Using beauty products can also increase the risk of having diabetes, especially woman. Many of the personal care products we use each day contain chemicals called Phthalates. A recent study shows that phthalates may increase the risk of diabetes in woman.

Hi guys! As you all know Raya is coming and I'm excited too! I'm sure all you have your check list from head to toe right?? From your hair, clothes, shoes and the list goes on. You're going to be heading to a lot of open houses I'm sure but there's one problem. YOUR DIET! There goes our diet and not forgetting our sugar and calorie intake. There is gonna be a lot of sugary and high calories food in these open houses and you need to watch out what you eat and drink.
Try to lessen your 'Kuih Raya' intake as these are the enemies!
Do not drink too much of sweet drinks. Try to ask for plain water if possible.
The best is to bring your own bottle water and drink as much as you can when you ate too much sweet food and drinks during Raya. Who can resist the delicious treats right, especially during this festive season.We want to wish all Muslims out there Selamat Hari Raya.
